Nick Munday – NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Nicholas Munday recently retired from Clifford Chance LLP the global law firm after 24 years as a lawyer and many years as a senior managing partner. He is a senior litigator and now practices from his own firm NM Business Law and as a corporate advisor through his company NM Private Office Limited.

Nick is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and admitted to practise English law.
He qualified in 1985 and was a partner in Clifford Chance LLP since 1995. He has a number of charitable interests including membership of the development board of a large school.

Nick is a founding trustee of the International Law Book Facility that distributes books throughout the Commonwealth and represents Clifford Chance on other pro bono and charitable projects.

Nick has been an active media investor in a personal capacity since 1995, backing a number of independent feature film productions including “Alexander”, “Back In Business”, “Garden of Eden” and “The Krays” through a variety of structured finance products.
His frustration with the limited effectiveness of such products and appetite to be more actively involved with the projects he was funding led to his meeting film producer James Daly and their subsequent co-founding of GMI, which he has funded through the first two years of its development.

James Daly – CEO

James Daly is a Co-founder of Greenhouse Media Investment, James has worked in both finance and media for over twenty five years. He has major investment experience working as a qualified IFA in both the private and commercial sector at management and Director level. In his capacity as an IFA James has been employed by financial institutions such as the CIS and Sun Alliance and has also successfully managed his own investment brokerage. In the last 10 years he has been actively involved in media both as a producer and writer as well as an investment director.

James has a strong working knowledge of private equity investment for media and has worked as a Director of a film sales company gaining a wide range of experience dealing with sales agents and distributors for global markets in both film and TV. James has attended many film and TV markets and festivals and has a broad understanding of distribution for film and media content. Over the last six years James has executive produced three feature films and a documentary film and has amassed a large amount of experience in all areas of film production. James has also worked on a number of projects for TV and also works with talented music artists.

For five years James ran a performance arts theatre with his wife and business partner Glenda Daly, and also worked with many different music artists in music management and events and has over thirty years experience as a music performer.

James strongly believes his experience of discovering and working with exciting talent in all forms of media will continue to contribute to the company’s developing success.

Andrew James Franklin - Financial Director of Greenhouse Media

Andrew James Franklin

Andy has run respected London based accountancy firm Franklin, Chartered Accountants since it was established in May 1982, and has been dedicated to providing clients with efficient compliance management of all their business issues, primarily in that of the IT development, building and construction industries, design and other service industries such as media businesses.

Andy and the company currently manages all accounting aspects of businesses from initial computerisation, the bookkeeping function and the accounting function.

Management accounting and reporting is set up on a regular basis depending on management and board of directors’ requirements.

Andy has overseen GMI content for a number of years dealing with VAT and annual returns as well as advising on investment in the company through various investment channels such as loan notes, SEIS and EIS.

John Rawicz

John Rawicz-Szczerbo – Commercial Director

John Rawicz (51) is the founding director of  Complete Financial Player LLP. His particular expertise and interest is the relationship between taxation and investment. Property investment funds, property development regeneration activities, film finance, SSASs and SIPPs are highly relevant to this area.

John has interests in associated companies advising high net worth individuals on their tax planning and wealth management. During his career, John has raised in excess of £500 million for various commercial property ventures.

John also has been responsible for raising investment in films, including the Palm d’Or Best Picture “The Wind That Shakes the Barley”. In his position as Commercial Director of GMI he is working closely with Nick and James on a slate of SEIS and EIS film and other media content.
